History: Being board with Bass fishing in local tournaments, I started Musky fishing in the fall of 1994 after reading an article by Al Maas. (An awesome Musky guide on Leech Lake in MN.)  I booked a trip to leech lake with Al in Aug of 94. I was hooked immediately!! (Musky fishing has that effect sometimes.) I did a little research when I came home and found Webster Lake. WOW what a lake, back then there were few boats on the lake and Lots of Huge fish. The first few years I spent more time on the road then the lake living 45 Min away I only got to fish 3 to 4 times a week.
I knew if I was going to be a serious fisherman I would have to live closer to the lakes.  It did not take to long to convince my wife and daughter I would be home more and a better fisherman if we moved. We moved into our little paradise at the lake during the 1999 Hoosier Muskie Classic. A three day Musky Tourney that I participate in every year. I think that was the busiest weekend ever! I have always dreamed of someday turning other people on to musky fishing like Al did for me.  I hired all the guides I could afford. I fished with Doug Johnson from Lake of the Woods, Pete Mania famous musky guide twice, Tony Grant and Greg Thomas from Kentucky so many times I lost count And Al Maas twice a year since the beginning.  In 2000 When I felt I knew enough I contacted the Indiana DNR and started the process of getting licensed the rest is history.
